Nelson Art Expo 2014

I spent a very busy four days over in Nelson for the 2014 Art Expo. A fantastic and diverse range of Art from New Zealand's South Island artists. Thursday was a busy day setting up display panels and floor plinths for my wall art and boxes; Thursday's opening night attracted a good number of art enthusiasts from far and wide. 

The inclement weather over the weekend perhaps worked in our favour as visitor numbers were high on all of the three days.  The venue at Saxton Stadium was warm and well lit, which enabled people to relax and spend some time talking to artists about their work.  I particularly enjoyed sharing my love of wood with the visitors to my display.  Thanks for all of the lovely comments regarding my work.

A big thanks to Nick, Annie and their team of helpers who organised an excellent show.  Also a thanks to other artists who were friendly, helpful and supportive throughout the show!  Last but certainly not least a great big thanks to my wife Hazel and daughter Amber who came along to help me set up and to offer support over the long weekend.
