Photographing boxes is so much easier than wall art! There are back-drops, lighting, attachments, shadows and reflections  to consider.  I've finally got the equipment I need to produce some decent images of my wall art.  See my re-vamped Wall Art page for the results.
It was pretty warm in there today as I was unable open the door as my work was suspended from it!
All in a day's work!

I have recently been accepted as an 'Artist of Marlborough'.  This is a group of painters, sculptors and ceramic, glass and wood artists who create a diverse range of artwork here in Marlborough.
Look for the distinctive signs throughout the area directing you to their galleries and workshops.

Two boxes I have recently finished, Eclipse and Helios,  represent Night and Day, Darkness and Light.  Made from Jarrah and New Zealand Lacebark, two beautifully coloured woods which contrast and complement each other.

An ideal present for storing your precious things - earrings, rings, cufflinks.

For all the chocolate lovers out there.  Inspired by Thorntons Continental, a fine selection of milk, dark white and nutty chocolates - in fact I think I was slighty nuts for taking on this one!
Which is your favourite?
Encased in Red Beech and Jarrah, there are many beautiful woods on display here.

Desk Box

This Red Beech desk box with a Walnut, Plane and Rimu lid was sold to a lovely couple in our village, here in the Wairau Valley.  They were looking for a special present for a family wedding in Australia.
The box highlights some of the beautiful woods that grow here in New Zealand.
Thanks Cliff and Kate for choosing one of my boxes for your special occasion.
