Back to box making

Over the last few months I've been remodeling my daughter's bedroom.  This involved making a new bed, wardrobes, storage units and a desk which took longer than anticipated.  However, the end result was a great improvement and the 'client' was very happy.

I have now been able to get back to some box making (completing orders) and milling some timber for future projects.

Some new boxes in the final stages, waiting to be polished.

Milling a small cherry log given to me by a neighbour......

An 19th Century veranda post yields some nicely coloured matai.

..... reveals some nicely spalted wood which will be great for some small box lids.
